I am a fashion designer and illustrator living in the beautiful coastal town of Stonington, Connecticut with my husband Chris and son, Henry. I grew up with a love for drawing and fashion and as a little girl spent lots of time sketching, painting and sewing. I never dreamed then I would be able to take something I loved so much and make it a lifelong career.
I earned my BA in Fashion Design at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles after studying fine art at Boston University. I've worked over fifteen years in the fashion industry with designers such as couture/bridal designer Richard Tyler, Guess?, Nordstrom and Zumiez. Throughout that time, the hand sketching and illustrating has always been my favorite part of the design process.
Once I became engaged, I immersed myself in everything wedding! I loved creating the details that would make our day unique. Shopping for the dress was even more exciting as it was the most beautiful and most indulgent purchase I would likely make for myself. I fell in love with my dress and knew it was the "one" as soon as I put it on. I never wanted to take it off and one day seemed much too short a time to wear it and enjoy it. This sparked an idea and a business was born!
Now I'm lucky to combine these two loves, weddings and fashion, with Forever Your Dress. My expertise is a perfect marriage of fine art and fashion giving customers a one of a kind piece of art to remember their very special wedding dress!
